Next Club Meeting - Weds. December 17th, @ 8:00 P.M.

 

Minutes of the November 19th, 2003 Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 PM with 16 members in attendance. Vice President Lou Carpio standing in for President Fred Meyer. The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as read.

The Treasurer reported and accepted as follows, October beginning balance $7,689.16, Income $186.00, Expenses $21.50, closing balance $7,853.66.

Old Business:

Club Banquet- Looks like there might not be a Banquet this year for Christmas. Lester (Smitty) Smith is looking into a firehouse that might have a date open in Jan/Feb.

R/C Propbusters- No update from Dick Wilkins.

Possible New flying site- Fred has looked at Stones Ranch as a possible flying sight site. We have had no response with the 2 letters that he has penned, he would like to talk to someone in person but doesn’t know who. Stay tuned.

New sign- Tom Vernon will get in touch with the town hall about the restrictions on sign usage in the town.

Big Mower- The seat adj. has been fixed.

Bates Woods- Is no longer available for our use.

Most Improved Flyer of the Year- Nominations will be cast and a vote held at the December meeting for this award.

New Business:

· IMAA- The IMAA held an event at our field this past summer and Fred has received a check in the amount of $90.00 from them as part of the agreement that the club receive a %.

· Moving the meeting site- To Gardner Lake firehouse, motion made Vote & passed to have Tom Vernon investigate GLFH as a meeting place for our 2004 monthly meetings as long as the cost is not more than $300.00 per year.

· BOD replacement- Dennis Duplice had one more year to sit on the BOD but is in seat as Vice Pres. So his seat needed to be filled on BOD for one year. Vote was held and Bernie Liskov will take the 1 Year term.

· Trophies- For Plane of the month and most improved flyer will be ordered and plaques will be brought up to date, Mark O’Connell has volunteered for the job to do this. (Thank-you Mark.)

New members- None.

Plane of the Month- Mark O’Connell brought in an electric ˝ A Scale Little Spirit, a 1960 Design scratch built from plans.
