Minutes of the September, 15th 2004 Meeting

The September 15, 2004 meeting of the RC Propbusters was called to order at 8:02 P.M.

The August Minutes: were accepted as read.

The Treasurers Report: accepted as read.

Old Business:

Sign: We have received the sign and have decided to make a frame with plexi-glass sides to further preserve and protect our new sign.  Bernie Liskov and Bob Boudreau will work on it to make a weather-friendly sign.  A motion was accepted to appropriate the necessary funds within a $100 budget.

Meeting Times: Tuesdays and Thursday nights were discussed as new meeting days.  The board of directors will meet to create an amendment to the by-laws that can be presented to the club.  This will be presented in this newsletter and we request that as many members as possible attend the next meeting so that we can amend the by-laws.

Club Fun-Fly: The club fun-fly was held and we had great weather. Many members turned out and it was a great success.  Thanks again to all of the volunteers.

New Business:

Heli-Fly In:  The helicopter fly-in this year was cancelled to planning and charter issues.  The event will continue next year with Eric Erenfels and Walter Johnson assistance.  The two seemed extremely enthusiastic and want it to be the largest Heli-event we have ever had.

Salem Land-Trust Demo: The Salem Land-Trust demo fly-in will be held this Saturday, September 18th.  Dick Wilkins has several pilots lined up and the demonstration should go well.

AMA Document 537:  See attached documents and provisions. CLICK HERE

New Members:  Arthur Faunce and Tarad Nadeau submitted applications and were voted in as new members.

Model of the Month: John Behne entered a Telemaster 66 that has been a work in progress for a few years that he decided to finally finish.  It was covered in 21st Century Fabric and looked great! Nice work John!

Mark Rice:  Fellow member Mark Rice suffered a heart-attack about a week ago and is now in stable condition. A get-well card was passed around the meeting and our prayers will be with him in his recovery.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:56pm.
